About the Author: Christian A. Mason

Chris is Chairman and founder of Vigilan, a Long Term Care Software provider. He is also Senior Vice President for Retirement Residences REIT, U.S. Retirement Division and CEO of Sun Retirement Corporation. Mr. Mason has extensive experience in operations for Assisted Living Facilities and many other types of Long Term Care Facilities. He is a founding member of the Oregon Assisted Living Facilities Association, served on the faculty of the first national training program for Assisted Living, helped develop the first national licensing exam, and served as an editor of the first national preparatory course for assisted living. Chris is nationally certified in Assisted Living and Nursing Home Management. He serves on The Oregon Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living Boards of Directors. Chris received his MBA from Whittemore School of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire.
